Valentine’s Day, February 14th—there is no better day to start telling you about us and our wine.

There is an invisible yet unbreakable bond that connects every one of our bottles to the land of Scanzo, where it originates and of which we are proudly a part.
It is not just a matter of native grape varieties or terroir; it is a matter of Family. Cantina Martinelli represents us and our love for this wonderful land. The roots of our vineyards do not just sink into the soil, but into our hearts. Walking through the vines, we have learned that they are not factories; they are living creatures that ask to be heard.

Among the rows, we have learned ancient gestures, like how to prune when the cold numbs your fingers; we have learned to wait in silence for the fruit, and we have experienced the harvest festival with both anxious anticipation and the hard work it entails. We have learned that when the grapes are ripe, they are also very delicate, so we have protected them as our most precious asset.

At Cantina Martinelli, winemaking is not just a job; it is a vocation built on three pillars:

Dedication: every day, from sunrise to sunset, we are there. We tend to every vine as if it were the only one, because we know that quality takes no shortcuts.

Sacrifice: the Earth is generous but demanding. There have been difficult vintages, storms, and diseases, but sacrifice has taught us resilience. Every glass carries with it the hard work of those who never gave up.

Love for the land: we are not the owners of this soil; we are merely its custodians. We practice respectful agriculture because we want those who come after us to be able to breathe the same scent of healthy, living earth that we breathe today.
